Deep, garnet to ruby red colour. Plums and cherries dominate the nose with a range of aromas in accompaniment. Spices, pepper, cloves, coffee, cocoa, jam and hints of balsamic vinegar give the wine an enviable complexity. Despite its intense and opulent character, the wine remains wonderfully elegant and refined on the pallet. A beautiful balance that continues in a long, persistent finish. A special wine that calls for special occasions.
The quite pronounced character of Amarone wines calls for tasty dishes such as roasted red meat, game, stews and mature and strong cheeses, but is also fantastic to enjoy on its own as a wine.

Corvina (33%), Corvinone (33%) and Rondinella (33%). Slightly overripe grapes are hand-picked in October. After 90-100 days in special drying rooms, the grapes are pressed and pumped into stainless steel vats where they ferment with the pellets for 30-40 days. Daily mixing of the juice and the pellets to obtain maximum extraction. The wine then matures for 4 to 5 years in a blend of old French barrels and large Slovenian oak barrels.
