Deep red colour, it shows strong black fruit aromas with vanilla coming from maturation in oak. Well-structured and velvety, it combines power, elegance and concentration. Ripe and good tannins enhance complex aromas of fruit, earth and game. Very good length.
To be served on any type of game and in particular deer, Munster or Epoisses cheese.

The region is at the confluence of three major influences: southerly, oceanic and continental. These unique conditions have, over time, dictated the choice of varietal. The climate of the Bourgogne winegrowing region is mainly temperate, and has a positive influence on vine growing.

Clay, limestone, sand, located on Côte de Nuits in the village of Vougeot, this grand cru covers 50 hectares. This plot is located in the bottom part of the clos with deeper earth.
- vinification

Hand-harvested, grapes have been sorted out before a 18 days fermentation. Wine has then been matured in oak casks (40% new barrels) for 15 months.
